Description | Support the PAC & Earn PDHs!Join us for a half-day seminar to support the PAC and earn your PDHs! Hear from industry experts, strengthen your network, stay informed, and invest in both your career and the profession's advocacy. You will receive 1 hr. each of Ethics & Standards of Practice, meeting the annual NCBEES requirement. All proceeds from this event will go to support the PAC. There are only 50 seats available, so register early!Please Call the Office to Register - Only personal credit cards or checks may be used to register as this is a PAC event. No Business can purchase tickets; the limit is $50.00 per person. You must be present to win. Instructors: Chan Bryant: Chan Bryant is the Chief Risk Officer at WithersRavenel, where he leads risk management strategies and ensures alignment with industry standards. With a background in environmental engineering, Chan brings a wealth of experience, helping deliver quality engineering solutions while mitigating risks. Tim Bowes, PLS: Tim earned his AAS Degree in Agriculture from NC State in 1984 and Surveying Certificate from Wake Technical Community College in 1988. He became a PLS in NC in 1990 and is a graduate of the Otis A. Jones Institute. In 1999. Tim co-founded BBM Associates, Inc. as a Surveying, Engineering, and Land Planning Business in the Raleigh area, where he was a Principal and Survey Operations Manager until BBM merged with VHB Engineering in 2016. He joined WithersRavenel, Inc. in 2021, where he currently serves as a Senior Delivery Officer. Ravi Soneja, CMT-LiDAR: Mr. Soneja is the UAS Program Manager with McKim & Creed, Inc., responsible for the implementation of UAS lidar and digital imagery technology to support the firm's surveying and aerial mapping projects. Mr. Soneja has worked on a wide variety of aerial mapping projects utilizing USGS Lidar Base Specifications as well as ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards. As an ASPRS Certified Mapping Technologist in Lidar, he is highly experienced in the acquisition and processing of airborne lidar. Mr. Soneja has extensive experience in acquisition planning, survey control configuration, lidar & imagery acquisition, lidar calibration, pre/post-processing, and final deliverables. Mr. Soneja currently serves ASPRS as the Vice President of the Potomac Region and the Assistant Director for the Primary Data Acquisition Division (PDAD). In addition, Mr. Soneja is closely involved in the development of solutions-based approaches to help clients meet the needs of their unique projects. Steve Amos, PLS, CFS: Steve is a North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor with more than 25 years of comprehensive land surveying experience, including 15 years managing Geomatics operations on a number of significant surveying projects across the state. His experience extends to survey staff management, survey compliance programs, and survey quality control in both the private and public sector markets. His specialties include overseeing survey operations, including ALTA, boundary, topographic, route, as-built, and construction surveys throughout North Carolina. He is also experienced in SUE and UAV surveys. Steve is a licensed Remote Pilot – sUAS Airman with the Federal Aviation Administration and is a Certified Floodplain Surveyor. He has served on the Gaston County Park and Recreation Advisory Board for over a decade. Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, serving his community with his church, and being a Kansas City Barbecue Society Certified Master Judge. He has participated in over 80 contests in 11 states. |
